Go see a movie this weekend!

Here’s some films opening this Friday that might be worth spending 10 bucks to see – plus an extra 5 for the 3D – plus another 10 for soda and popcorn!

Dredd 3D

Directed By: Pete Travis

Starring:  Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby

Another Judge Dredd movie (the first being that piece of crap Stallone one back in the ’90’s). I don’t know though, the more that I see of this film the more I get the feeling it might suck. This one could be a “Wait till it comes out on Netflix”. We’ll see.

Trouble With the Curve

Directed By: Robert Lorenz

Starring: Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake

I use to love Clint Eastwood, but recently I think dude has a bit of senility kicking in and needs to retire. I mean just how old is Eastwood? 103? Something like that. Anyway, I guess it’s smart to surround ol’ grandpa with the guy that brought sexy back and Amy Adams who’s pretty sexy herself.

Finding Nemo 3D

Directed By: Andrew Stanton , Lee Unkrich

Voices of: Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Willem Dafoe

One of Pixar’s best cartoons, Finding Nemo is perfectly paced and plotted and a lot of fun. I’m not the biggest fan of releasing old movies in 3D, but this one could be cool to see again on the big screen and the 3D effect may add to the fun factor.

The Master

Directed by: Paul Thomas Anderson

Starring: Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams

I love P.T Anderson’s flicks (if you been reading my Top 50 Movies of All Time list you’ll see Boogie Nights at #29) so I’ve been anticipating The Master since I heard about it. Great cast and intriguing story. Sure to be another classic from P.T.
